The new DIR-H501 is a brand new version of the Digital Inflection Rigidometer 101-C. It has been designed to provide maximum efficiency in erectile dysfunction (ED) diagnosis and in ED treatment monitoring.

The DIR H501 is an entirely portable hand-held unit that enables the patient to test his penile rigidity by himself, without the assistance of a medical operator.

Giving the patient the opportunity to test himself is important for various reasons:
" Increased privacy, maximum reduction of psychological inhibition realistic results.
" Allows the doctor to remain active whilst the patient is carrying out his testing.
" Enables in-home testing, where the patient can test his real erectile quality in the appropriate surroundings.
The DIR H501 is a multiuse tool that assesses erectile quality before, during and after treatment. It will be valuable in any of the following cases:

" Primary ED diagnosis
" Monitoring of ED treatment with vasoactive drugs / intravenous injections.
" Monitoring the continued efficacy of penile prosthesis along time (detecting leaks in hydraulic implants).

Results are easily printed in a clear, self explanatory data sheet that provides the following information:

" Axial rigidity in grams
" Relative intracavernous pressure
" Duration of the erection
